[i2c] I2C support - 'built-in' VS modules

Sounds like i2c-core is built in.  Sounds like i2c-dev is not.

in /var/log, i can see in file called messages:

Jan  1 00:00:03 (none) user.info kernel: i2c /dev entries driver
Jan  1 00:00:03 (none) user.debug kernel: i2c-core: driver dev_driver
registere
...

So I guess these two are registred. No proc -- I can now see why... under
/dev I can not see anything wiyh i2c? Should it be there somewhere even
before I load adapter module and chip driver (some kind of interface that
would be empty for now)
