I ran across that once too.  It's clear I saw a hardware glitch of some
kind, so I didn't pursue it much, but I did notice the misbehavior after
a driver->attach_adapter() failure ... followed later by oopsing.  That
was without i2c-isa active, note.

OK.  Note that your i2c-parport-optimize-size-patch also needs to
stop using I2C_NAME_SIZE ...
