I happened across this URL a while back:

The date on it is 19 June 2007, so it seems pretty new.

From a quick scan, the most notable changes are addition of the
"Fast Mode Plus" (Fm+) megabit speed signaling (which I've seen
in a few chips, this resolves a minor puzzle!), a device ID
mechanism (which I suspect will take a long time to deploy),
and a few other bits listed up front in a summary of changes.
