hardware donation

I have a 486 thinkpad laptop that is in fair to poor condition.  One
cable from the power adapter is missing, and there is no harddisk.  The
keyboard appears to have suffered from a sodapop spill months ago (not
sure if it ate anything already)
 
Is this hardware suitable for what your looking for?
