The sensors detect problem was a specific issue with the amd 768 ( MSI
ms-6501) and the winbond w83627hf-aw
I have now got a ati radeon 9000,  and the problems with the sensors
still remains.
There were no issues with the matrox i2c (could be wrong) as I seem to
remember that part working fine

sensors output...(this is probably an old version as I am using RH9
kernel 2.4.20-18.9smp)
although I will be going to 2.5.75 soon as it seems fairly stable, the
only reason not to was the ATI drivers
but they crash anyway, and they ain't gonna get fixed until ATI get
there act together.(apparently fairly soon)
